Artwork not received by 4 p.m. on March 27, 2026, will forfeit their place in this year’s show.

Shipped Submissions
All mailed works must be received at the address listed by March 27, 2026. No late entries will be allowed.

Shipping Fees
Artists are responsible for all shipping costs. The artist is expected to either deliver entries or ship them prepaid. Art will not be returned “freight collect.” Artists who hand-deliver entries to the site but wish them shipped back will be assessed with a packing charge. Please enclose return packing slips with shipped work. Under no circumstances shall CNB be liable for any damages to items of art sustained during shipping, delivery and/or unpacking. Requests from the artist to repair any damage sustained during shipping, delivery or unpacking will be granted at the sole discretion of Trail of Tears Art Show officials.

Artwork Pickup

The show will hang through May 16, 2026.

We ask that you consider other commitments before entering, as works displayed in the show may not be picked up prior to May 19, 2026.

In-Person Pickup
Art may not be claimed by anyone other than the artist or designee listed on application, unless the artist provides written authorization. Any request to rescind authorization must also be made in writing by artist. Any artwork that is left after this deadline will be returned to the artist at their expense. The artist will be invoiced for shipping costs, including any necessary packing materials.

Shipping
Artwork will be shipped by May 22, 2026. Please allow 7 – 10 days for delivery.

Shipping Fees
Shipped artwork should have included prepaid return shipping labels for staff to return the artwork to the artist. If the artwork sells, the return labels will be mailed back to the artist.

Shipping & Insurance

    • Artwork returned by CED will be insured for its sales value.
    • CED is not responsible for any damage or loss that occurs during shipping.
    • Artists are strongly encouraged to insure their work for its full value when purchasing return labels for shipped artwork.
    • If returned, artwork is damaged, a claim may be filed with the carrier for the insured amount.
    • Artists with unpaid shipping invoices will be ineligible for future CED art shows until the balance is paid.

Packaging Guidelines

    • Every effort will be made to return artwork in its original shipping package.
    • Please design your box for easy return and allow for sufficient packing on all sides to protect your work.
    • Be sure your name is clearly marked on the box.
    • CED is not responsible for packing hand-carried entries.

Special Arrangement

    • Special return or pickup arrangements may be made on a case-by-case basis.
